Just Three Games Left

GAME 52: UCLA 13, TITANS 10

GAME 53: TITANS 9, PEPPERDINE 1

By Samuel Chi

After losing the final game against UCLA and routing Pepperdine in the season's final mid-week game (both started by Tyler Pill, incidentally), the Titans are ready for their regular-season finale against their arch rival Long Beach State Dirtbags.

Unlike in past years, there isn't much on the line for this series. The Dirtbags are out of postseason contention and will be playing strictly for pride. The Titans, on the other hand, should be able to wrap up a national seed with just one victory in the three-game set.

If Cal Poly does not sweep UC Riverside, then a single victory will secure no worse than second place in the Big West for the Titans. That, combined with their RPI, which should end the season at either No. 1 or No. 2, will be enough to keep Fullerton home until Omaha time.
